140 km to the northeast from Oulu, in Syöte ski resort in Syötekeskus district. Log-built gable apartment in the row house, inner walls are panelled, built in 1985. Living room/kitchen with sofa bed, loft (max. 2 m room height and sloping ceiling) with double bed and 2 separate beds, steep stairs to the loft, sauna, washroom/WC and storage. Iso-Syöte ski slopes 4.5 km. Iso-Syöte national park visitor center 6 km. In spring and winter, there is a ski bus from Oulu to Iso-Syöte every day. It drives via Oulu airport. On weekdays, there is a bus from Pudasjärvi to Iso-Syöte and back. Please the schedules of both busses in advance!
Youth and leisure center Pikku-Syöte Oy has decided to give up slope activities in the summer of 2023. If a new operator is not found for the slope operations, the slopes of Pikku-Syöte will not be opened for the season 2023-2024. The Pikku-Syöte hotel's accommodation and restaurant services are only open to groups. The cross-country ski tracks will be renovated as usual and the slopes of Iso-Syöte are approx. 4.5 km away by car.
